World of Nevus - World at Large
Continent - Moravia 1/3
Official Name: Merchantile Republic of the Granysean People
Shortened: Granysea
Capital City: Neo-Asgard City
Government Form: Constitutional Republic
Leader: Alfred Cofferton
Architecutre: Neo-Classical
Climate & Terrain: Temperate. Comfortable mid 70's most of summer and low 50's in winter. Mountainous eastern shores, jungle-ridden west coast and vibrant grassy plains in central
Demographics: 54% Male, 46% Female
Gender Roles: Males are on the forefront of society. Primary providers for their women. A male's worth in the eyes of a woman is how well he can keep his cash cow alive. Women take part in commerce as well. Often as serving out samples and glamorized in their merchant husbands' wares. Younger girls often act poster girls, using charms to attract customers. Granyseans tend to travel abroad more than any other.
Ancient History: Formerly the Kingdom of Valjaller, it's been said the first peoples emerged here and migrated south and said it was the first piece of land formed by the roots of the Great Mother Tree and the birthplace of Manatechnology. Valjaller was the home of Sularin, the Hero Priest of Righteousness who lead the forces in Ragnarok against his corrupted brother, Eruzael, the Hero Priest of Balance. Valjaller was the last of the three great kingdoms to succumb to the end of civilization, with Sularin fighting to his dying breath to preserve civilization as it had been known before the assumed death of the Mother Tree.
Nearing the end of the Dark Ages, evolving Valjallerans merged with migrating Midgardian nomads that would eventually blossom into Granysea, with their capital near the ruins of Asgard City.
Politics: Kingdom of Regnum Nivibus - Stalwart ally. Granysea shares a military and economic alliance with this country, and mutual open borders. In ancient times, Granysea was initially hostile, trying to covertly incite revolutions until they nearly bankrupted themselves. Nivibus shared some of their mineral wealth and thus produced powerful ties.
Great Firlandic Empire - Peaceful on the surface, wary to the point of hostility underneath. Firland is one of Granysea's largest trading partners, but constant mistreatment of people keeps relations strained. The trading opportunities is what initially kept Granysea out of the Second Pankosmian War, but did see Firlandic conquest of Regnum Nivibus as a dire threat to their own borders. They stood ready to join the war on Nivibus's side, but were glad Nivibus was able to repel the invasion.
Pastorian Tribal States - Granysea has a pact with the Pastorians and are profiting off of the genocidal war with Aldaeas. Granysea sells weapons to the Pastorians to defend themselves, and helping to cement a stalemate in the war.
Aldaeas Federation - Granysea is morally hostile towards Aldaeas for their "Spartanist" views on society. Granysea will not denounce Aldaeas, nor will they conduct any trade with them.
Holy Crezanti Theocracy - Granysea keeps religion out of their domestic and foreign affairs, but shares a special pact with Crezanti to help move valuable religious relics - for a good price.

Re: Continent - Moravia 3/3
Shortened: Firland
Alternate: Phoeland
Capital City: Tyrhaven
Government Form: Absolute Monarchy
Leader: Calisto LeBane
Architecutre: 1900 England with steampunk & sci-fi elements
Climate & Terrain: High temperatures above 80 degF most of the year with some months falling to 60 degF. Dead, arid landscape due to overuse of manatechnology. Scorching deserts inside mountain valleys cut off the nation between east and west. Southern areas of the nation hold rivers of lava and volcanic activity, making it inhospitable. Fresh water lakes and larger patches of greenery can be found near Tyrhaven due to overclocking manatechnology.
Demographics: 66% Male, 44% Female
Gender Roles & Society: Firlandic men dominate every aspect of life in the country, including their women. When children reach school age, they are indoctrinated (something they are so proud of, they will openly call it indoctrination) into Firlandic global supremacy. In mid-teen years, boys are tested in the fields of physical and mental capacity. If the boy is strong, he will be placed in the military or other hard physical labor profession. If highly intelligent, he will be a scientist. Street smart, trained in politics. While girls are trained to be nothing more than house wives. When she comes of age, she is taken from her family and given to a soldier or other high-end trade professional. Or a group of soldiers if she is defiant.
If any of the children fail in their tests, they are thrown out of society to live in the slums where they will be subjected to horrible conditions, such as polluted water sources and guards occasionally luring in local monsters for the slummers to fight for food.
Ancient History: Formerly the Kingdom of Nifflheim. This country was known for its ashen-grey mountains and surreal landscapes of twisted trees and odd-colored grass. The ancient people of Nifflheim were reclusive but were generally friendly with outsiders. Nifflheim was home to Eruzael, the Hero Priest of Balance.
It was previously assumed that a plague wiped out most of Nifflheim's population, but it was revealed that Eruzael invented Necromancy, the Balance of Life and Death and tested the magic on the population, raising them into undeath. The plague lie was used on one of the Goddesses, Crystyl of Winter and Competition, tricking her into a forced alliance and plunging the world into massive blizzard and a war that will end civilization.
Eruzael's plan to replace the Mother Tree as the sole God-like figure was put to an end when he was defeated by his brothers, Sularin and Kiel.
Afterwards, there wasn't much of life worth living left in Nifflheim and left as a desolate land for a few thousand years until the evolving peoples retook the land and sought to rebuild Nifflheim from the ground up. Uncovering lost manatechnology and reverse engineering, and finding very useful resources once lost, Neo-Nifflheim eventually became Phoeland, taking their name from the Phoenix, and later officially becoming the Great Firlandic Empire as its power and influence began to very quickly spread to all three of the major continents, conquering one budding nation after the other until it was one of six sole super nations remaining.
Politics: Republic of Granysea - There is a peace of convenience with Granysea. Firland desires to rule it, but it would prove difficult with Nivibus in the way. The two almost went to war when a Firlandic warship attacked and sunk a Granysean flagship.
Kingdom of Regnum Nivibus - Firland and Nivibus are historic enemies. A song of fire and ice. Firland once held Nivibus as a province to harvest the mana-imbued roots and bark from the Mother Tree, but lost the country to a rebellion. There has never been a true peace treaty between the two.
Pastorian Tribal States - Firland completely forgot that Pastoria existed somehow. There is no communication of any kind, and the nation is never brought up in discussion in schools.
Aldaeas Federation - Firland and Aldaeas are strong allies, but are also not so. Aldaeas thinks they are stronger while Firland thinks otherwise. Firland provides some aide to Aldaeas in its war with Pastoria.
Holy Crezanti Theocracy - On the surface, Firland respects Crezanti, but nothing more. Behind the scenes, Crezanti is under a pro-Firland and Erulean Pope.
